I wanted to emulate the knocking sounds that occur when interacting with wood, both organically and as a result of human touch, contained in a short table. I gathered wood and cut and sanded the pieces to fit and be smooth, such as a stripped log would be.  This wooden table is meant to be touched, with the viewer’s fingers allowing the wood to speak and produce a rattle and knocking sound.
