This is a nostalgia inspired work where I am dragging personal childhood rooms behind myself, with my voiceover which shares phrases and words that have been repeated to me during moving across states as a kid. The four rooms are connected with a black yarn whose length corresponds in inches to how many months that I have lived in each room.
Documentation of a Blossoms Memorial Services’ memorial service and funeral for a beloved houseplant called Beaker.
This was a performance art piece with a sculptural element of the casket, made from pine wood. A verbal component was the eulogy, written by our team at Blossoms Memorial Services.
This work is a reflection on my experiences and on my story from when I got hit by a car while riding my bike across a crosswalk in 2021. This project was an introduction to welding, as well as an important piece of my personal process in therapy.
There was video from the performance, but it is no longer available for public access. Images below show pictures from the background media and screengrabs from the video where I performed physical therapy exercises whilst reading aloud the various costs from my hospital bill and other associated costs.
