The Consumer's Nook

Cardboard, plastic, mixed media.
An experimental composition using plarn (yarn made from plastic bags), cardboard, and recycled materials. This project was an investigation into consumerism as it relates to daily life and the waste that is produced within a few months.
Reflentity
2023
Plexiglass, plastic, 5" mirror, metal ball bearings, Palm tree wood.
This project is an observation of identity presented as a commodity. Each maze is a 3D printed shape of a fingerprint, resting against a mirror and enclosed in Palm tree wood. Presented as a handheld toy, viewers can solve the puzzle, while also staring at their own reflection.
This particular series of three were modeled after my closest friends' fingerprints in 2023, and subsequently given to each after the pieces were complete.
